Gas Boiler Service Care Plan

Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to the Gas Boiler Service Care Plan (‘agreement’) between you, the customer and Alight Heating and Plumbing.

Please read these terms carefully as they form the basis of the agreement.

1) Services

The Boiler Service Care Plan (agreement) includes:

 

Annual boiler service

We will service your boiler and system (up to 70kw) on an annual basis in accordance with the manufacturer’s service requirements to check vital safety and efficiency operations including:

  • Checking of boiler seals and gaskets
  • Cleaning of boiler condensation trap
  • Checking and cleaning of boiler heat exchanger (if required)
  • Lubricating of fan (if required)
  • Cleaning of boiler injector (if required)
  • Checking and cleaning of boiler electrodes
  • Checking and adjusting of boiler emissions
  • Checking and topping up boiler expansion vessel and boiler pressure
  • Checking for water and gas leaks
  • Testing of carbon monoxide alarm

 

Annual heating system health check

Ensure there are no leaks or developing issues including:

  • Clean heating filters (if required)
  • Check and bleed radiators (if required)
  • Check for system leaks
  • Check airing cupboard and motorised valves (if required)

 

Service certificate

Upon successful completion of your annual boiler service our engineer will issue you with a new service certificate. The certificate will be supplied to you via email and is important to keep safe as it may be required if you have any Warranty issues with your boiler.

 

Priority response

As a boiler service care plan customer, you will receive priority bookings for all service and repair appointments giving you our highest priority when you need it. This is subject to our operational hours (see point 7 below).

 

Additional discounts

As a boiler service care plan customer, you will receive a 30% discount on any call out fees and 10% labour discount on any plumbing repairs, new installations, or upgrades to your heating system for the duration of the agreement.

 

2) Exclusions

The Boiler Service Care Plan agreement DOES NOT include:

  • The cost or provision of any spare parts including boiler seals and electrodes or labour for any repair work.
  • The replacement of boilers, heating systems or appliances.
  • Maintenance of any time/temperature controls, underfloor heating or flue systems.
  • Provide labour to remedy descaling or sludge related issues or damage caused from hard water scale deposits within the system.

 

3) Period of agreement

A Boiler Service Care Plan is an annual agreement and will run for one calendar year from the date that a first payment is received.

 

4) Renewals

Your Boiler Service Care Plan will automatically renew each year unless you contact us to cancel the agreement. We will contact you 45 days in advance of your agreement renewal date to notify you of any price or Service Care Plan changes.

 

5) Fees and payments

Current costs and fees can be found on our Boiler Service Care Plan page.

Payments can be made as a one-off annual payment or over 12 regular monthly payments. Monthly payments will be collected on or around the same date each month that the agreement was started and from the card/account that you enter on registration. All payments are collected via the payment processor Stripe.

In the event your payment card expires during the term of your agreement please contact us at info@alightheating.co.uk or call us on 07379 919660 so we can update your details.

Failure to pay your monthly payments can result in the termination of the agreement and the liability to pay the balance of the fees in whole, within ten business days.

 

6) Cancellation

You may cancel your Boiler Service Care Plan at any time by informing us in writing at info@alightheating.co.uk.

In the event that you cancel your agreement and/or monthly payments early, you are liable to pay the balance of the remaining 12 months due, in whole within ten business days.

 

7) Appointments

Our operational hours and service appointment times are between 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday. We do not provide evening, weekend, or bank holiday appointments for a Boiler Services.

As a boiler service care plan customer, you will receive priority bookings for all service and repair appointments giving you our highest priority when you need it.

For emergency or breakdown call-outs we will always (subject to workload) aim to be with you on the same day and will contact you at least half an hour before our arrival.

Appointment times are subject to change as emergency breakdown call outs may be given priority, resulting in your appointment being conveniently rescheduled.

 

8) Access

To carry out your annual Boiler service, it is your responsibility to allow our engineer access to your property. In the event we cannot gain access, we reserve the right to cancel your Boiler Service Care Plan agreement and you may be liable to cancellation charges.

Please ensure the engineer has full, easy access to both the boiler and hot water tank before arrival.

 

9) Change of address

Your Boiler Service Care Plan agreement can be transferred to a new property address, providing the new address remains within our service area. To check our service areas, please call us on 07939 919660 to discuss.

If you plan to move home during the term of your agreement, please inform us at least a month prior to moving on info@alightheating.co.uk and we will organise any necessary changes for you.

Failure to inform us of any such changes can result in cancellation charges.

 

10) Additional works

If during an annual service or call out, we determine that your boiler or any part of your system is not in sufficient working order, or you require any additional services a quotation can be supplied.

As a boiler service care plan customer, we will automatically apply 10% discount of our standard price for any additional works required.
